    Never ending......$$$
I'm getting some used q-towers and clips for my 2009 Tacoma. I have a set of 48" crossbars, would these work or do I absolutely need the 58" crossbars? Also, what size fairing did you go with? I'm thinking the 44" but want to be sure. Thanks!!!!

If you want to have the caps on the ends of the bars you need bars longer than 48". I bought 58" and cut them down to 54" so they don't stick out so far, makes them more uniform with the bars on my camper shell (48"). I also have the 44" fairing. See photos

I like having the 58" bars on my shell. I'm able to load a cargo box and my longboards up there. I would say it's personal preference. I don't use a fairing so can't help there. good luck.
