2005-2013 6-Speed cup holder

Does ANYONE make ANY type of alternative to this worthless P.O.S. factory cup holder? Like a tray, lidded storage, ANYTHING?! There is NOTHING underneath the cup holder insert and plenty of room for more storage. Does anyone on this planet make something that replaces this worthless 3 hole cup holder???

Havent run across a direct replacement, But I have seen people use some fiberglass and a dremel to turn it into a switch panel. Hell I bet you could find a small tray or something in a junk yard and make something more to your liking without too much trouble. That or instead of people with differing opinions trolling your thread, maybe someone with a similar idea or solution will chime in. Either way, try and keep the cross service pissing contest to a minimum.

 

Dude, you have bottle holders in both doors, bottle holders in the rear of the center console, and that center cup holder has more than enough room for a cup holder and a storage area, possible cellphone dock area, mounting for electronics, etc.

 

Those bottle holders do wonders for cups.

I lost one of mine to shifters. A lot of times I wish I had it back for when my wife is in the truck so she's not holding the cup the whole time

 

No cups in my truck, cups spill. Only bottled water.

 

The smaller one holds coins and my cellphone

I would love something that made better use of the space. There's a lot of area that could be used for storage.

 

Sorry, I was provoked. Anyway, I have scoured the interwebs for anything and I have turned up absolutely nothing. Not a single alternative drop in replacement.

Yeah dude, totally, there is so much dead space under there its not even funny, and the stock piece just pulls right out and drops right in, aside from popping it out for cleaning, its a total waste of real estate.

Not surprised you didn't find anything commercially available, but nothing is stopping you from making something.

Not what I was looking for but not bad either.

 

I don't have any suggestions except maybe fab up something you would find useful.

on a side note.... I decided not to put my switches down near the cup holders only because i've had to many coffee's spill....
