So, I am going to get the kit from toytec with the 5100's; the $649 one. So with 285 70 r17's on stock 17" wheels, do I need spydertrax spacers? Anything else I need before I purchase and install??? By te way, I have a 2009 dbl cab long bed. Thanks in advance....

you should be good to go. you won't need the spacers unless you want them for the stance. you will however need to do some trimming to fit the 285's, and even more if you choose to go with the wheel spacers

what are you setting the 5100's at?
what are you doing for rear lift?

he's already going with 285's, I'd wait until the lift and tires are installed to see how it sits and if he likes it. I was considering them before I went with my tires, but after seeing how it sat I was happy

I was looking at OME for the rear. I guess my question was really more about the wheel spacers. Do I really need them, but if I need to do moe trimming I won't buy them until after. As far as the shock setings, I will set them so I have the highest lift.

Are you planning to do the install? If so your going to need a spring compressor to put the coilovers together. Otherwise you can get the $919 kit thats pre built with the top plate and spacers. Plus a few other things like U-bolts, etc. And they will be set at .85" and will give you a full 3" lift.
Consider new UCA's for either kit if you plan on going over 2.5"
