Engine code P0011. Help!

Ok so let me start by saying that I just got done making the drive up to California from Phoenix, Az. As I was about 40 miles from my hotel my ultra gauge threw a code. The code is P0011 and after some research is due to the cams timing being advanced?? What should I do? Will I be ok driving till I get back to Phoenix?

I just recently had a P0012 code on mine. Went to autozone to check the code and they gave me a similar description saying my camshaft timing was off. However, when I took it to the dealership the real problem was a bad oil control valve. My code kept getting thrown every time I got my oil changed...

I would say you're good to drive back. The ECU has a failsafe in it if the OCV gets stuck open or closed. Not saying this is a good thing, but I drove with my bad OCV for over a month before having it replaced. Is your CEL intermittent?

How much was it to replace? And the CEL was a steady constant light. I cleared it using my ultra gauge and hasn't been thrown again yet so we will see. Thanks for the help man

i found the part online for bout 90 bucks and replaced it myself. only thing u really need to do is remove the throttle body to get it out of the way and loosen one bolt and disconnect one connector and then remove

this is where the 2 OCV valves are located. its one of the 2 orange circle. the code yours is throwing deals with the one on the passenger side. You don't have to remove your intake manifold/supercharger(if u have one) to get to these. the reason mine was removed was to change out the valve covers. anyways, just wanted to show you where they were in case u wanted to replace them yourself

Awesome thanks for going out of your way for helping me out guys. It doesn't seem too complicated I may attempt to do it myself when I get back home. Do you have the link and part #? Again, thanks so much I was worried it would be something a lot worse

Hahah no it doesn't idle high or rough and doesn't make any weird noises or anything. You wouldn't notice anything unusual if it weren't for the CEL
