Had the genius idea to try and paint the tweeter cover on my 09 double cab and it looks terrible...can anyone help my find the part number for a replacement? I'm having a hard time finding a number for it in any of the diagrams i've looked at. Thanks in advance!

IIRC u have to buy the ENTIRE panel unless u find someone with an extra.

I looked this up for another member a few yrs ago, and ended up calling my dealership for him since I had the time :(

    got a pic?

possibly a super soft bruch attachment for a dremel may work?

they have some that are just like scotchbrite pads....diff colors = diff coarsness....try 1 and use water as a buffer?

    (speakers protected of course)

Just remove the door panel, the part # is probably on the inside of the speaker.

i assume the driver behind it is protected or the panel id off the truck?

BTW, if u still have the factory speakers, theres a thin piece of material in front of the tweeter....I cut mine out....figured it MAY just a little clear up the highs a bit.

I see no logical use for it......ill look for a pic

I pretty much started at the center since the cone would be furthest from the blade in the center....used an LED flashlight to see "through" the cover, then carefully pulled up from the center by hand, and cut away just BEFORE where this material comes into contact with the surround.

hey, it was worth a try and it was free :)

With all the people that wreck/total their trucks on here, why not pm the next one you see and make an offer for theirs...?
