Anyone else wish the 2nd generations had the option of an old-fashioned metal chrome front bumper?

I have a 2004 prerunner 2wd 4 banger. I am planning on upgrading this fall. The only thing I like less about the new models is the plastic bumper. I just like the old classic look of chrome bumpers front and back.

I will probably end up going with an aftermarket winch bumper in the end.

Meh... I'm not a huge fan of the chrome bumpers. Plus they are heavier and they aren't very strong either...

When you catch the rear one on anything you don't even feel it, you just hear it. Far too fragile...

What the hell did you catch that on? A wood chipper?

OP I liked the old classic look of the Chrome bumper on my 01. Still miss that truck!

I agree with you, I like the chrome fronts that come on some of the full sized trucks. Ain't too into the plastic either.

Wow! That bumper is ???? F up! I just recently had my rear bumper, bedside etc replaced due to a hit and run. I chose a oem stock bumper just cause I like how clean it looks on the rig. (But ya not strong ) I just couldn't got aftermarket.
