I have a 2012 Tacoma, SR5, 4x4, 4 Door, V6. I am generally pretty pleased with most aspects of the truck, but when driving over bumpy dirt or gravel road beds, it feels as if the front suspension is a little weak(light). When the tire hits a rough spot, it transfers a floppy little shake to the steering wheel and sounds like a slight rattle in the suspension. I would have expected a bit more stiffness and stability in a 4x4 suspension. Has anyone else noticed this? Do you consider this a normal sensation for this truck, and am I just expecting too much from a light truck? I have never had a 4x4 before, and I guess I was thinking there would be a little less "play" in the steering column as you bounce along a rough surface.
