Help with lights behind grill

06 DBL cab 4x4 sport,

BLK headlights, grill overlay, weather tech liners, tonneau cover, DVD

Hey guys new to forum and tacoma's. just sold my chevy crew cab and purchased a 06 DBL cab trd sport. Jumped the gun and bought a grill overlay then I found this forum and decided I want to do lights behind the grill. I've been reading about the BAMF light mounts but don't totally understand what I need to do with the grill now. Do I have to scrap the overlay I just bought? I know I need to cut out the center of the stock grill, how do the grill craft grills mount once the factory grill center is removed? Can I accomplish this with my existing overlay?
