Why is it so hard for Toyota to at least match the color of the grille and front bumper on these base trims?

 

That's what I thought they did before entering this thread, now I don't know what to think

 

I meant that in general. None of the base Tacoma grilles and bumpers match from the factory. Not just this particular truck.

 

Might be a regional thing, I've never seen one like that on a base truck. They have always been black..

 

The grill is "Argent." The same color as every other base model, including my Pyrite Mica base.

That grille is the same color as any other base Tacoma regardless of color. It is also a different color/shade than the front bumper regardless of the truck color, therefore the grille and bumper never match from the factory. Kinda lame imo. Thats what I was getting at earlier, probably confused you more with my wording. /offtopic

To OP, looks like a nice truck, maybe a bit more expensive that should be, but that is what negotiating is for. As mentioned before, always good to do carfax and other checks and good point about additional options such cruise, fog lights wiper etc. If it does not have it and you would like it, find out how difficult it would be to add and how much it would cost.

There should be DIY guides for all.
