STK Provisor for second gen

Hey guys, i drove out to test fit a STK provisor on my DCLB i thought it looked pretty good, nobody else has these and i always liked the look. The sales guy at STK says they have only had them out about a year and sold 30 so far. Here are the pics of the unpainted, unmounted version, i should have it painted delivered and installed next weekend.

 

Is that just for aesthetics or is it functional?
Kinda seems like the visor would cover that same area when flipped.

 

I think it's mostly for looks.

 

I don't care what anyone says but I think they are gay and a waste of money for a truck and will lower your MPG. Go ahead give me bad rep i don't care.

I like them on 90's Chevys, or big late model gmc's, and kinda wish it worked with the taco. I just don't think it does.

 

yea, there's no functional value to it at all i'm sure. Its not everybody's style but i like it. no fogs/spots/ledbars for me the lights are all hide-away. We'll see how it looks color matched next week.

If you were going for the Bro Truck look, you're doing it wrong. You need to mount it sideways.

 

Seems like it'd make clearing snow off the windshield even more of a PITA.

 

I think it looks pretty damn good!!!

Wind noise over 60 is disappointing, anything under 50 you don't notice anything.

Lol. Never take it off as I'm sure the paint on that part of the roof will look like it had a mudd flap there.

Something about the curvier lines of modern trucks just doesnt mix with the visor. If i had an old 80's Toyota I'd do it but don't really feel the look on the 2nd gen. But I'm not a fan of hood protectors or vent visors either. Glad you like it...not something you get to see everyday on trucks anymore.

 

Yea, if you take it off there will be holes left over too... But i did make a point to put some thin foam insulation stuff between the visor and the truck under the screws so that it wont sand its way through over time, and to keep it from squeaking.

 

I'm on the fence, it seems like they could have matched the side profile a bit better, but I KINDA like it. Definitely doesn't look like too much.
