Kinda cool idea

 

The color matched hardtops are expensive enough...I can't imagine how expensive that would be and I don't know that it's really necessary...

 

I think the side access would be pretty handy IDK

 

I've never had issue with my Leer but I am also 6'4" with long arms...If the price is close to a regular hard top I see it as a logical upgrade but if it gets much more expensive you are in cap territory...

Cool idea, probably uglier than hell on top when closed.

 

They are heavy enough to start with, this will just add more weight.

Main purpose of the opening is for access to go in and out of often. Combine that with a nice painted top you are just asking to mess it up if you are gonna use it.

I am guessing price to be $1350++

I doubt you could even reach to the bottom of the bed through the opening unless you are 7 foot tall.

Just not seeing it being practical. It will be less than kind to the eyes as well which was the reason for a fiberglass painted cover

I had a fiberglass painted cover before and now have a undercover and would take it any day of the week.

 

The small hatches probably fit flush, kinda like the Ram Box. Probably won't look that bad compared to a regular lid. I agree the utility value is questionable.

Then again, why do SUVs like the FJ Cruiser have the rear glass flip open separately? There's no way you'll be able to reach anything inside...
