i bought a used 05 tacoma access cab and noticed last storm that the headliner was wet and leaking onto the floor. i looked around the outside of the 3rd brake light and the rear window which has the middle sliding window. The window looks like its either been replaced or resealed. there is evidence of some black sealant smudges on the paint around the window. when pushing on the inside of the rear window, it seems tight. i havent noticed any other wet areas but havent looked rear hard either. when i was reversing, looking out the back, there was an obibous dripping wet spot right above the back window.
so my guess is that the light is the problem. do i need a whole light assembly. i though i read that you will damage the gasket when taking the whole light out and there is no gasket replacement, just replace the whole light. is this correct? how do i fix this leak.
