Cool OME LIFT installed by the Dealership!!

Went down to the Toyota dealer and asked how much for an OME lift kit installed... they quoted me 1887 parts, labor, and alignment. sounded like a pretty good price. considering the OME kit with the strut assembled would probably cost about 1350 or so shipped and an alignment would cost about 80 or so... no warranty issues since the dealership is doing the install. What do you guys think

Sounds like a pretty good deal. But you should have new UCA's to along with the OME lift. This is what most suggest over 2.5 lift.

Depending on what you are getting toytech has this OME lift kit for 750.
http://www.toyteclifts.com/index.php...mart&Itemid=72

What are you getting for twice that? I would personally save the 450 in labor and do it myself. All a personal preferrence.

480 for new coil overs, UCA's, rear billies, front diff drop and alignment. I already had the AAL's installed. I bought the parts which ran about 1300.

Day Toyota in Pittsburgh.

So that's pretty close to your price.

I have a 100 buck coupon I plan on using
For any service related repair. Check your dealer website. They usually have some service coupon available which you should be able to use.

Sorry for typos and brevity. Damn iPhone

You guys are lucky. The ONLY dealer we have in Hawaii wouldn't even align my truck after I installed my lift. I even asked if they would be willing to swap my TPMS to my aftermarket wheels, and again, they said "no"

The dealer installed my OME lift kit as part of my deal when buying it all new. In 2010, it was $1800 extra. They did a good alignment as well. Now, three years in, my parts have worn enough that I'm adding LR UCAs on Thursday to regain the alignment options.

Plus the other benefits of the LR UCA.

I haven't regretted it.

go for it dude, can't go wrong with an OME lift that doesn't void your warranty. That price is good too, I'm assuming you are getting the Dakar leaf pack for that price?
If they are willing to install it then it probably doesn't matter where you get it from, that's how the dealer is here. I can bring them a box of parts from wherever, but it's all covered as long as they install it. So you may be able to save a little that way, but in reality probably not much.
IF you are getting the dakar leaf springs then that price isn't too bad.

Wow, that's expensive, unless they are giving you some New aftermarket UCA's too. I bought the whole OME kit from Toytec, with tax and s&h for like $840ish. 10 hours in the garage, by myself mind you, and it was installed. Spent $80 on an alignment and vuala!

Yeah but coil overs are adjustable and OME is not OME. Coil overs cost more than the OME strut assembly.

thanks for the comments guys... I think it is a fair price... I'm not too mechanically inclined plus lacking in the tool category...
yes it comes with dakar leaf pack.

In the process of selling some ammo to pay for it

it is going to look funny for a while until I can get new tires

thinking MTR with kevlar or KM2 265 75r16 I like the look of the 285s but I'm not sure for DD how the would be. not to mention I think they would rub.

once again thank you for you comments

OME 90000 Nitro Sport front
OME 885 coils
Dakar rear springs
No spacers

Install + alignment quotes. I specified to each shop the strut/coil are not assembled.
4 Wheel Parts = $667
4 Wheelers Supply = $420
Desert Rat = $340

My buddy is with the Chase Motorsports team and told me before I even got quotes it should be a 5-6 hour job @ $50/hour = $250-300 + $80 align = $320-$380.

I will get the break down of parts and labor tomorrow when I get my oil change done( still under the 2 yrs 25,000 miles plan)

and I will ask them about installing parts I buy my self, maybe they would price match and save me the hassle of buying them from other sources???

Good price.
I suggest you all get another alignment after a couple of weeks. Things settle and your alignment will be affected.

I noticed that you are in the Seattle area. Which dealership was this that installed your OEM lift? Thinking of going this route so that it is still covered under warranty.

Also, which lift was this for as there are several OEM lifts that are offered?
