Tint (35%), a must. Step bars, Bull bar, Bull lights,4x4 light mod, Flip down 10" DVD player, De badged, Color match front emblem, color matched bumpers., black out tails, Cobra cb, Flashlight mod,bed-light mod,
I have decided to upgrade the Sound sytem ( speakers ) in the Taco.

I must know from the Audio Gods their input on speaker selections.

I also would like to know who has removed the headliner in the 2011 to get to the rear speakers?

In my truck the rear speakers are above the driver and passengers head
as you sit in the truck! Hidden under the liner. Why would they do this?

Any advise on removal and reinstall woudl be awesome.

Dont even bother with the headliner speakers, you might as well unplug them when you upgrade speakers

    Evan,
I was wanting to upgrade all the speakers. I dont have door speakers in the AC doors. Are they just small tweeters?

I have never taken my headliner off, but from what i have read here and seen in pictures you cant really replace the headliner speakers. But you do have an option if you are set on installing rears. The 05-08 models have speakers in the rear doors, as you know toyota changed the door panels for 09+, but they did mot change the door frame. Take the rear door panel off and you will find the old mounting location for rear speakers. Two options, get your hands on panels from a 05-08 which should fit from what i have read, or modify your panels. Ill pull up some pictures for you

I like the door that has the flat panel and the speaker inside the door. Since the metal is pretty thin would you recomend a mat in both doors?

Im not sure what you mean, do you mean like a baffle or sound deading? Im really not sure, i havnt done mine yet, just researched a bunch. I have ********* adaptors for the rear door sitting in my closet and a crutchfields giftcard ready to be spent so i will hopefully get around to it soon

Nope not feeling those. I think the OP meant that the door being just sheet metal needs to be beefed/stiffened up

That is correct.:D I am concerned with the vibrations of the sheet metal that
    the doors are made of.
