Help!! Total Electrical Failure

    I would suggest that you "top off" your battery charge with an external battery charger. The high resistance between the positive terminal clamp and post also affects the alternator's ability to recharge your battery. Some lead sulfate could remain while the battery was being under charged. Depending on your driving habits, you might want to also periodically "top off" your battery charge for longer battery service life.

    I stopped by AutoZone today and had the battery tested. The guy said the battery was good to go and fully charged. I guess it was just a loose and dirty positive clamp. I also picked up some terminal grease and felt pads like Utard suggested.

    Good job. With a little TLC and distilled water, your battery can easily last five years in this climate.
