Hey guys just starting a thread to see what other peoples' opinions are on what kind of modding one should start with. Big or small first? Expensive or less expensive first? lift kit and wheels? headlights? etc. I guess it's mostly to put it in perspective for me personally, but others may find this interesting as well.
Feel free to leave your $.02!! thanks!!

I say start big like wheels, tires and a lift then do the smaller stuff after that. You can judge your truck better with the mods you want to do to it after all the bigger stuff. ;)

That is perfectly said right there. I mean it's usually like one of the hardest things to think about, what tire size, wheel size, what tires and wheels, what kind of lift, so many questions good to get that out of the way early and go crazy after!!:D

Yeah once you get the main stuff on there, the smaller mods will come by easier and you will be able to choose small parts better off the looks of a lifted truck with wheels an tires if that makes sense. Ive seen people add things like silver step bars then get black wheels then wished they got black step bars to match so little things like that can add up quickly.

I started with 35% tint on front windows then 5100's then tires it's a slippery slope.

Oooo that's not bad either, I remember when I first lifted mine and it looked so beefy and aggresive and was muted out with that stock muffler:mad:
Can't go wrong with some sound.

Do you think I should add a CAI or stay stock airbox maybe with a drop in air filter? im not sure how much of a difference it would make...

I just went with the AFE pro dry S filter. I didin't want a whole system because i'm worried about driving around in a vacuum. But I got a pretty good boost in HP with just the filter.

dont modify the suspension too soon. i would suggest upgrading tire size, then doing a lift. wheels if you really want them. tires are the number one thing that will change the attitude of your truck the most. performance wise and astheticly.

removing my swaybar was another big helper off-road.

i recently lifted mine, then ended up replacing the driverside bearing in the front diff. also blew a boot for some reason. so doing the lift was easy, but getting the truck to drive factory like again cost more money that i hadn't planned on spending.

be carefull, and research the living hell out of ANYTHING that you change on that pickup.
