Roof Rack Gap

I installed my new OEM roof rack last night and tried to refit this morning. I tried bending the front brakets a litt bit and still have a 1/8 inch gap on both fronts. I tried bending a little more and the plastic clip will not connect with the braket any closer than what it is.
Any suggestions?

Last bump then I'll try silicone or something to make sure no water gets in until I figure something else out.

It should not leak even with the gap. Lots of folks on here have lost their rubber trim with no leaks.

I did the same thing when I first installed my oem roof rack, .....nothing you can do cause of the clay washers fill in the gap when you screw in the screws

That is exactly what mine looks like khx73. Guess I'll keep looking around until I see someone has a fix. Thanks.
