Am I missing something here? That does not seem right all and a great way to burn a clutch up. In 4 lo that is doable, but in high range? Iffy...

The v6 flywheel is heavier than the moon so that actually works pretty well for 1st. I used to do it often. Now reverse, thats different; the six speed reverse is insanely tall and clutch burn is only a matter of time.

The four cyl definitely needs a little blip to get going but it doesn't need no 2000 rpm. About 1200-1400 on flat ground can give a swift clutch engagement that slows the engine to about 1000 or so.

Same here, I drive like a grandpa most of the time but every so often I open her up (shifting at 5,000 in second, 4500 in 3rd and 4000 in 4th) love seeing that tach!!
