Ha, i guess i should have put it this way. Are there any types or brands of primer/paint that are better for painting this kind of plastic than others? And all i can find are primered bumpers, any places other than the dealerships to find already painted ones?

no. every bumper will come black primered. ready to paint. if you dont care how it looks go to your local auto parts store and have some spray bombs mixed up. otherwise id buck up and have a bodyshop paint it for you. remember you get what you pay for.

Get a black primered bumper, and have it painted. Believe me. Its the best way. I tried having mu factory chrome rear bumper color matched after being media blasted... no luck. Ended up scoring a black base bumper and had it painted.. going on 2 years now with no issues.

Also, welcome to TW from a fellow Az member. Check out our section.

If you're gonna color match the bumper, you might as well do the fender flares too. By that point, it will probably easier/better to take it to a pro.

The place I used did great work. unfortunately they have since closed. We do have a local member who paints for us tho. Had done grills, fenders, etc. for the bumper... I would just check CL or post up in the Az classifieds. see if anyone is parting with a bumper or is willing to
