The roads around here aren't a lot of stop and go. The traffic lights are usually spaced out 1/2 mile or more. if got a mpg meter and the average right now is 25.9.

Edit: The meter reads straight from the OBD2 port.

I don't have a SC but on my stock AC V6 I got over 20 all day long, several over 21. When I lifted and went to bigger tires it dropped to 18-19.

142 fill ups with Fuelly and a lifetime average of 19.5. http://www.fuelly.com/driver/fightnfire/tacoma

Are you saying I'm lying? Who the he'll would lie about their mpg? My gauge says 25.9 mpg average. End of story. I'm using 91 octane, shifts helps a bit with gas mileage.
What about the 7 other people that are getting 26 or higher? Are they full of sh!t too?

It's totally possible that an instant, or even current trip average, reading from an OBD II port could be 30MPG. An average for a tank? No way. An instant reading, easy.

They probably have 4 bangers, the thread title is very vague. Also I find the gauge (you using SG2 or similar?) doesn't read MPG properly, I always calculate myself after every fill up for accuracy.

Just curious here but why would anyone NOT hand calculate your mileage when you fill it up???

I've had vehicles with instant and avg. MPG but I pay them NO attention. The only thing I go by is gallons divided into miles driven on that tank of fuel.
