Spray some plasti dip on the tip of the pocket clip and it won't scratch paint anymore.

...but if you're claiming it on insurance no need to worry about paying $220 for a tail light

A $220 tail light is cheap by todays automotive standards. It looks like Murphy reached out and bitch slapped you today but its all good. Your Taco is still a fine looking bitch.

Been the better part of a month so you may have already had the work done, but if not do those scrapes actually go through the paint? From the pics it's hard to tell but it looks like mostly paint transfer... That really might buff out pretty well...

    Update?

    To the OP

    You're a rookie at F'in up vehicles.

17 yrs old. Doing burnouts in parking lot.....slammed a light pole.

Other notables over the years with various vehicles

...parked in driveway facing garage (with garage open), walk through, close garage...heard that horrible scraping sound
...backed into a shopping cart that I left there.
...closed garage door while hatch door still open, did that one twice.
...scratched up a motorcycle while doing copper pipe work in garage (too stupid to remove bike from garage prior to starting work)
    ...curb grind a wheel

I could go on but you get the idea. You will get it fixed and have a story for later on.
