    Cleaned my 25K mile engine bay this evening and installed a shorty antenna. Going to detail entire truck tomorrow. :D

    The reception is great. I don't notice any degradation around town and when I drive to Atlanta it seems to receive every bit as well as the OEM antenna. This shorty was actually designed for a rooftop Passat mount. I put a rubber washer between the antenna and the truck mount to keep water out of the screw hole. You can just see it in the pic....

    Yes, where did you get the antenna? Mine rubs on the garage door when I drive in and out. It will be a serious problem once I lift my truck. ;)

    I found the antenna on Ebay a few years ago. I think it came from a guy in Germany. Not very expensive. I also just bought this oil funnel that that is threaded to screw into the where the oil cap goes....made by Aseenmacher I think. Got tired of my old funnel falling out of the filler hole which is fairly shallow.

    Try typing in Passat antenna in Ebay and see what comes up. I'll see if I can find it. It came with several different size dual threaded screws.
