Does anyone know if toyota will still honor this recall? I brought my truck in a few years ago when the recall happened and was told i had some surface rust but thats all. They didn't do anything. Yesterday i was told that my frame has enough corrosion that it may become hazardous. Is the 15 year warranty from when i had my frame checked at toyota or from the year it was made? If anyone has been in or heard of a similar situation i would appreciate your input

    Stock for now...
Take it into a dealer that offers cheap oil changes , buddy of mine did with his '01 and they kept it - bought it back in fact and crushed the truck .

I had my 2004 recalled for this...

In the letter they said if i had it checked within a certain time period, the warranty would be extended for the lifetime of the vehicle, transferable. They said mine was ok and basically rhino lined the whole frame.

So i think you should be ok if you brought it in to be checked and serviced. They have the choice of replacing your frame, or buying back the vehicle.
