Well a lemon law is usually enacted by the government, whether at a state, county, city level; you would have to check and see what the local law calls for.

What makes you think your truck qualifies as a lemon?

Also, lemon laws cover used vehicles typically, warranties cover new vehicles.

How does an engine blow? Did you not have oil in it?

You may qualify for relief under the Florida Lemon Law if during your first 2 years of ownership:

    • You provided the manufacturer, through its dealers, with at least 3 opportunities to repair a defect or non-conformity in your vehicle that substantially impairs the vehicle’s use, value, or safety; or
    • Your vehicle was out of service for 15 more days

I believe the lemon law states that you will receive a replacement vehicle if the dealership fails to repair the same issue 3 times within a certain time frame, like a year.

Such as you have electrical issues and you're in the dealer 3 times within a year for fixes that don't last then you should get a replacement vehicle, but in order to do so you're going to need a lawyer.

They're going to avoid giving you a new truck as much as possible, hence, the lawyer.

Motor just blew up? What were you doing with it? How old is it? Are you the first owner? With only 25 k miles you should still be covered from engine blow ups.

Hence why I ask what you were doing with it, certain things can void warranties. Although for most, these trucks will take a beating, but a warranty is set up to cover the vehicle under normal (and reasonable) wear and tear. You swamp it mudding or something of the sort, this could indeed void it because that is not the manufacturers definition of normal.

i was pulling a trailer. its a 09, i am the first owner, and it has 31300 now and i got it back from toyota when the timing shit went out with just under 31000 and they had it for over a month for that. and i mean im probably still covered under warranty but come on its getting ridiculous. a truck shouldnt have all these problems with the millage it has on it.

and it wasnt swapped or anything im running mt's and live in florida so a lot of hunting trails and back roads get a little muddy and the mt's just throw mud up their just trying to get out of it. and seriously you can void the warranty for a little mud if their mudding on commercials

like i said i dont always offroad my truck i use it for what trucks where created to do which are get you out to hunt and pull trailers. like i said i dont swamp my truck or anything like that i live in fl with is pretty flat so when it rains the water doesnt really have and where to go witch makes it get a little dirty. but i mean if no one hunted or needed to get threw a wet field their would be no need to have trucks. and if they dont want their trucks off road they shouldnt sell them with 4x4

Sorry to hear that. Real bummer, definately shouldn't have that many problems right off the bat. Was the trailer over towing capacity? That may affect the dealer's response as well.

WTF I've towed way more than that and been fine.
