my vote is for SR5 4x4, if i could do it over again like you that'ld be the best (for me anyways) other than the E-locker i plan on swapping out everything that makes the TRD off road what it is. And for the $3,000 that package cost you can get a pretty good lift w/ tires. Longer bed would be handy sometimes but that's what straps are for and not the biggest fan of the ol' hood scoop

Whichever truck I get, I plan to keep it pretty much bone stock except for some visual things and protection like bumpers and sliders and such. My other truck stayed the same, it just had other wheels on it and I am actually glad to be getting rid of all the chrome it had. That was my only really complaint about the truck but the price was great. I am just somewhat of a band-wagoner that wants the locker and a-trac. I could care less about the hood scoop.

Glad you are OK. I say spend the money up front and get what you want. I love my TRD sport DCLB. Having the longer bed has come in handy over and over again.

Glad your ok Bud. Gotta say that truck took a hit! Aside from that I just got the TRD Sport with the long bed and I love it no regrets at all. Good Luck.

    Glad you are ok!! KCCO!
As far as helping you decide between OR or Sport, I say go with the Off Road. I'm the same as you, better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. The bed is really not that much shorter and if you needed you could always get the bed extender or just use the trailor you said you had. Of course with the sport you would get that super cool skewp though... not. Tough choice.

Going this afternoon to pick up my new (to me) Tacoma. Unless I notice something wrong with it during the test drive, this is a done deal. I am getting a 2011 TRD Offroad in silver. Bone stock and ready to rock lol. Will update with pics tonight if it works out.

That 'not remembering' thing.....that's a biological response and is normal (as long as concussion has been ruled out). It's called post-traumatic amnesia. I had it when I got into a serius accident a while back.

Had pictures, video, and detailed notes of the coversations I had with the EMT and the police; I did not remember one thing about it. The very next major accident I got into, a few years later, I remembered what the EMT told me just at the time I realized I was going to be in a bad accident: ".....next time, breathe out..."

In an instant, I exhaled hard, and BLAM...the LS430 I was riding in with my real estate agent driving, hit the tree. Funny thing about that accident is that is was MUCH worse than the previous one I was in and I remember every minute detail of the accident. I remember watching my glasses fly and where they flew too, I remember seeing the airbags deploy, I even watched the real estate agent flail around. I remember after it all being over, that I was able to take a measure of myself in the seat I was in, realizing I wasn't hurt, and able to react and help the driver. He had an epileptic seizure, I was able to stabilize his neck and flag down some help.....and everythig beyond that.

It's funny how our bodies and mind work.

Glad that you're ok and talking about your truck, rather than any major injuries. If you find yourself in the situation again, remember to breathe out.

I can give an explanation of how and why that helps before a major impact if interested.

Well here it is. The truck is pretty much flawless except for a few minor scratches which I can fix myself. First task is to clay bar and get a good couple of coats of wax. Then off with the mud flaps and detail the ever loving crap out of it. My favorite part is that it doesn't have all of the chrome like the other one did.

Not so much worried about anyone stealing anything, I just usually back into my spots. Makes for an easy get away lol. That and if it is a 2 way spot like at Walmart or whatever, whoever pulls in behind me will "accidentally bump" the ball not my front bumper.
