Emissions related garbage = NO WAY!

The EPA and CARB are useless and a joke.

I would do it if offered...they will certainly give it a tune up and sort out any engine issues before they test. I got my 08 Sahara lent out to my wife's sister (her 4Runner ate a starter the other week, fixed and now she needs to drop it off) and my 68 Dodge parked at a neighbor's to load brush, and my '12 Ford Focus (company car) is being used by a coworker today. At the same time, my buddy Dave left his BMW motorcycle is my shop three years ago, he needs to come get it, and my construction guy left his full sized, 4wd, extendaboom Cat backhoe, and D3 sized dozer here last winter.

Once you grow up and realize a vehicle is a vehicle, it reduces stress...

Oh, I believe in EPA and CARB, it reduces cancer and keeps us all much healthier.

Fuck that BS. They can go drive their own used trade-in shit off dealer lots that fit those specs.

Customer owned and operated vehicles are what they have sitting in the used section at every dealership.

A vehicle is a piece of consumerism...we use it go get around, to haul stuff and to replace when they no longer do their intended function. Nothing wrong with protecting assets, but also, they need to be put to productive use...

Letting a couple of tech go over the engine and emission system with a fine tooth comb and a few hours on the dyno is a good thing.

I'd do it as long as the "late model" loaner is either a Tundra or a Tacoma at least as nice as mine (no Prius, Corolla, Camry, etc). That way, while they have my truck I can still do all the things I normally do and not be inconvenienced in any way. It's especially no inconvenience if they are willing to do the vehicle swap in a location that's best for me.

i got that offer too! There is no way i'm going to let someone use my truck. makes no sense for me to be without my truck. this is my 4th new toyota and never gotten a letter! a big company like toyota has to come up with a better way to test there vehicles. heck, i won't even let my wife drive my truck, why would i let someone i don't even know take my truck for two weeks.
