About three hours, being your first time. Should take a lot less, but good to have extra time.

When you do yours, I wouldn't mind getting in on that. At some point I should install my Walbro in mine to :p

Are the denso up stream 02 sensors from rock auto the best replacement? I'm kind of back to throwing parts at it trying to fix it. Hopefully installing my fuel pump next weekend

Loss of power when accelerating to get on highway. Feels like I just took my foot off the gas. Happened once a month or so until last Friday. Coming home on the highway cruising at 100-110 Kph it would just cut out for 5-10 sec, or when I would move the gas pedal all the way down or off and back it would go back to normal. I can shift into 4th (automatic) while this is happening and no change occurs. (does not reset) Also the RPM's dont come up like they would if the gas was on.
This tells me it's not transmission related, or RPM related. I'm thinking it's the Throttle position sensors, or fuel pump.
I just removed and cleaned my MAF and Throttle body. Both were carboned up, but I lost power a couple times on the way into work again today.
I have ordered a new UDR fuel pump and filter combo and a new accelerator assembly (pedal) Hope this fix's the issue.

Yesterday discovered my break light was on in parking lot when I got back to the truck. Found the break light switch not set properly. Adjusted that (30 seconds) and it looks like the loss of power issue is gone. (so far) I will report back in a few days to make sure. Sucks that I just bought $400 worth of parts though......

After ten pages of suggestions, did anybody actually try changing the fuel filter and did it solve the problem?

I have the same problem. I'm in Africa. Truck runs okay around town, but when I'm out on the horrible roads in the country going at any sort of speed for a couple hours, what you describe happens. I have to figure it's because sediment from the horrible gas I've been using the past 1.5 years is getting kicked up and clogging the filter. Does that sound reasonable?

Does anyone know if I can just clean the fuel filter when I take it out? The part would be hard t come by here. Thanks!

It's been a month and it has not happened at all since I readjusted that stupid break light switch! I had just bought $400 worth of parts to throw at this stubbornly refusing to believe you guys that said to check the break switch...... I wish I had listened sooner, it just seemed to silly to be the cause of this.
Thanks again to all of your help. I will install the external fuel pump and filter unit from URD anyway when I get the time.

Highly recommend you look at adjusting the switch. If you are bumping around on roads it's all the easier to have the break pedal wiggle and cause this issue. I didn't believe it.... now I'm happily eating crow. (but driving smoothly while doing it!)
