toytec adjustable lift question??

    when i bought the toytec adjustable lift from a guy he said it was set at 3 inches.. but when i look at it i see alot more thread to make a adjustment? looks like it can raise alot higher? sooo...??

    if previous owner left it set at what Toytec pre-set it at, the website states it is preset to 2.5-3" of lift. Probably depends on what type of truck (double, access, or single cabs). I wouldn't go cranking it up too high, spring preload will be horrible.
    edit: IIRC for every 1/8" of thread you move up or down on the collar, you lift or lower 1/4" overall. Someone correct me if that isn't the right values, but it was what I remembered.

    3 inches is as high as you want to go, if you crank it up more itll start to cause problems. stock tacomas cant be lifted higher than 3 inches without other lift components.

    Are the CO's installed on your truck ? If your happy with the looks and the ride, I wouldn't start cranking it higher. Things will only get worse.(ride, alignment, etc). Mine is preset at 2.5" and the ride is better than factory.
