The title of the thread is misleading..

This may sound dumb, but if you arent sure where its coming from, make sure your storage boxes are empty. If there are heavy things in them they can make noise..

if still using the stock rear shocks you need to start by replacing them with something longer. if not then i'm also curious, i get a random clunk/bang from the rear of my truck too.

How many and what type (highway, off road) miles have you put on the lift?

I'm using stock shocks and I think it's my problem. This truck seems highe than the 2010 when lifted and I'm thinking the pro comp leaf adds a little more height than advertised

how does the shocks being short explain it? my truck does it along with my fathers (his is stock) but only when the rear axle is articulating. ie compressing one side and drooping the other

so wheres the bang? not arguing that he may or may not need longer shocks for his lift, but that I don't think that would account for a "bang" unless he is airing the truck out, Im asking how short shocks go bang

What has been said. My 5100s made tons of "bang" noises. After realizing I blew one out, I went to extended travel 5100s and no more "bang". This is the problem.
