2013 Loud whistle noise at 70 MPH ????

Please help ?

 

is it coming from the windshield?

i know there is a TSB for a windshield whistle at interstate speeds.

 

Search for whistle. There's at least 2 culprits, either the grill area or the windshield.

 

It's from the windshield.

Cant get mine fixed im over the 36k and dealer said they wouldnt fix it unfer extended warranty

look at #14 for the TSB number and take it to your dealer

 

Drive straight to your dealer. Tell them about it. Problem potentially solved.

 

I took it to the dealer. And not much help . Bullshit !

 

There was a recall on 2012 but not the 2013 .

 

They "fixed" mine, it still happens on windy days at 70-75 mph.

 

Just took mine in for this and the drive line vibrations. They're going to replace my grill. Will see if it fixes it. I thought it was coming from my roof area but they say it's the grill.

 

At first they weren't much help to me when I told them about it. But after speaking with the service manager and taking him for a ride, he agreed it was a problem and ordered a new grill. That was a couple months after the '12's came out, and the first guy I spoke to stated he hadn't been advised of any problems at the time. Just stay on them and don't settle for the B.S. Good luck.

 

Put some 1/4" tubing inside the long rubber hood gasket where the hood latches and see if it stops. You can spray the tubing with WD40 or something to make it slippery so it will go in. I would do that before they installed a new grill. It worked for me.

 

I saw that thread and am aware. I'll let them have a shot it and see what happens.
