Can the park lights be turned off

I have a 2008 Tacoma sport. With the ignition switch turned to accessory the park lights stay on. Is there a way that you can turn the switch to accessory and not have the park lights on?

 

Do you mean the DRL's?

Not sure if it's an option on the Tacoma (mine doesn't have DTRL), but some of the Camrys do have a DTRL option on the headlight switch.

 

My 08 doesn't have DTRLs. Turn the switch on the stalk to off and they turn off.

 

Are you calling the DTRL's the ones in the front bumper? If so I don't have a problem with them. What I'm talking about are the four corner/marker lights front and back. Thanks

 

The ones in the bumper are the fog lights and without modding them they only come on with the headlights.

Look up the mods for DTRL for turning them off if you have them on yours. Like I mentioned above I don't and I can turn the markers off using the switch on the stalk. It has off, marker lights then headlights on it. With the marker selection represented by a single line between off and on. Good luck with your quest.
