    Check etrailer.com.
They are great to work with and their prices are great.

I don't think anyone does. It's pretty simple to just buy a standard 7 pin, take apart the old one that got smashed, and rewire into the new end. May take ten minutes max. I smashed mine the second week i had the truck and grabbed a new universal end from a trailer store.

The other option no one has mentioned is remove one of your license plate lights and put the new one in there. That's what I did to mine, works great! There is still plenty of light from the other licence plate light to make your plate visible.

I plan on relocating the plug to the bumper next to license plate. I have read all the threads on this and I have 1 question. After you drill the hole for the plug how do you get it there. Do you cut the wires then splice them back once you have the plug in the hole? Do you some how disconnect the wires?

Thanks DoorDing. I searched the DIY and found a link to the Toyotanation forum that had a good writeup with pictures of the clip under the truck that hold the wiring harness. Disconnect that and that will allow me to feed the harness through the hole. Thanks again for your help, just needed someone to get me started on the write path.

Thanks for the answer. Studying the picture a little more, the male end of this replacement socket will likely fit into the factory 7-pin socket. My existing socket is fine. It's just the plastic pieces that are busted which mounts it to the bumper.

I will probably cut off the existing socket and splice this new socket in instead of just plugging it together. Hopefully the 4-pin will automatically work after I splice in the replacement.

I installed the harness from my earlier post in this thread (post #18). I had to use a multimeter to check which wires go with which pins because the colors of the wires from our trucks do not match the colors from that particular harness.

I soldered the wires together to make it as clean as possible. I hammered the bracket that came with this setup into a new shape allow me to mount it to one of the bolts that attach our factory hitch to the truck. it is now nicely hidden and tucked away under the truck. it turned out well i feel.
