    Quick question about tire tread:

Do you guys recommend putting tires with more tread on the front or back of the truck? I have some used tires, some worn down more than others, so I just need to know whats best.

    Thanks!

The drive tires will wear faster, so the back.

You are a prerunner...the important thing for your truck, is to put the two closest matched (in wear/circumference) on the back/drive axle as you want both tires turning at the same speed...lest you tear up your diff, or worse

Also, most new tire literature will tell you, if you are replacing only two tires on a vehicle, to put the new ones on the rear...opposite of what was recommended years ago...they say has to do with wet traction...

Thanks for your help. Don't see much rain in So Cal, but still good to know.
