    Lots baby!
I have the one that URD sells ( which is a Bud Built).

I have an X-Runner with a S/C and the normal mods. No axle wrap.

    This is an inverted pic.

If the dealer went by the service manual, they would have torqued the U-bolts to just 37 ft-lbs. It's likely a misprint in the manual but remained uncorrected as of 2012. The U-bolts should be torqued to >90 ft-lbs.

I'm pretty sure there was a TSB issued at the end of 2012 pertaining to this issue. They didn't specify axle wrap, but it mentions symptoms of it. I don't remember the link to the TSB, but I'm sure you could google I t

sorry but this is not a description of axle wrap. If you at least googled the term you would find axle wrap happens at take off from a standing start under hard acceleration just read the article in the link.

    http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-axle-wrap.htm

what you are experiencing is something totally different most likely a binding in the drive line due to a lack of lubrication to the u-joints, or the slip joint in the drive shaft

I get it. I was a Ford man for over a decade before buying my Toyota and just bought another one for a DD as my Toyota sits broken.

Now back on track........ WHEN DO YOU EXPERIENCE THIS AXLE WRAP?

I have found it to be a slight issue on hill climbs in soft sand/mud/snow or whenever I jam on the throttle in sand/mud/snow. I learned to control my throttle response and walla much better.

    this I bet

Have you tried lifting off the gas pedal:D As said check the u-bolt. You could add anti-wrap half leaf on top.

Now that I installed the Helwig ez-550 its much better, the wrap happens when I take off from a stop, I use that pedal on the right. The problem did not start until they installed the springs. This whole shudder/TSB has been a pain in the ass. I am pleased with the helper spring.

buds traction bar comes with new studs and It uses 5 i believe to attach it to the rear. A lot of guys have them and wheel with it. Never had an issue.

I don't know anyone who wheels hard that would connect a rock magnet to their rears case studs. Think about what happens when you slam a rock and where the stress goes.

I get why bb did it that way, for mall crawling and light wheeling but jandrews is right imo. Get the cheaper version and weld it on if you plan on beating it hard core.
