Lets be clear, I'm no suggesting a competition, the challenge is figuring out mods I can accomplish while out on medical leave. I just had my L5-S1 fused and in about a week and a half I'm going to be bored out of my skull and still not cleared for work or driving.

Here is what I have done:
    Color matched the grill
    Bed lights
Interior LEDs- wheel well, cup holders, console, glove box
    Dual USB constant hot charger
    Rear aux lights

    Don't consider mods but done:
Tri-fold tonneau (required modification to meet my preferences)
    Weather-tec mats
    Step bars

Two things I'm figuring I can do with minimal effort are an oil catch can and vent shades, though I don't see as much value in them since I quit smoking...

I'm kicking around color matching the mirrors but haven't talked myself into that one. Whenever I do that mod I want to go ahead and add the heated mirrors and that looks like a pain in the ass...

So, ideas? Keep in mind the busted back.

..... sit in a lawn chair with beer and stare at it. Seriously though, BHLM if you haven't already done it and if its not too much work for your back.

Vent visors are great for getting fresh air while its raining....I hate the windows being up all the way, and in the rain I like to hear what my tires are doing.

Our doors have such a curve at the top that without the vent visors, rain just plows right in the window even if just cracked.

Its also nice to leave windows cracked when u park the truck without advertising the fact.

It does limit the amount of room in the door/window when u go to drive thru's, and rlly messes up the whole elbow on window sill/hand on upper sill driving position tho.

Good suggestions. I'll think about the BHLM I don't think I can get back to that one bolt on the bottom of the light. It gave me a fit when I had to switch the light out.

Maybe the color match badging. I think that looks sharp.

This exactly. My truck had them when I bought it used in 2010, and I love them. With slightly cracking the front windows and cracking my back window, I get air flowing through like crazy, but not a whirlwind like opening your window. Its prefect.

Well with your precautions, I.e., no twisting, bending, pushing, pulling from your surgery for a while; I would say have someone take that 4th bolt out for you or just stick with the color/de/badging, and maybe color match the front Toyota emblem

    Much appreciated guys.

Luke: Sounds brutal. I pretty much hurt from the word go when I got out. After a week I now sleep completely through the night.

For the local guys: if you see an MGM 13 DCSB running around with "TONS" on the rear plate and A Mount Holly plate on the front, that's me.

I'm having trouble finding a good link covering color match badging.

Just take a hair dryer to them about 6" away, take some fishing line and saw behind them, do that a few times and comes right off. Then use goo gone to get the residue off, use a little wax in that spot afterwards. Paint the badges. Go get 3M automotive adhesive tape and place on the back outlining the letters, and stick it on the truck. Make sure you use masking tape to mark where the badges were.
