    Don't hate me.
But I've read through all of these threads about lifting a taco and I keep getting mixed signals.
I have a 2013 access cab 4x4 sr5. Now I would like to find a kit that has everything in it including the UCAs if at all possible?
I keep hearing about 5100s in the front and AAL in the back. Or this old man eru shit.
I want a 3 inch, reliable, smooth (as possible) ride and with out fucking my CV joints up. Possible packages or a detailed list of items I will need. I wish I had friends that knew about this shit...

What are your intentions with the lift? Heavy offroad, no offroad, etc?

It is a daily driver. But I go offroading about everyweekend. It needs to be able to handle some abuse

I don't know of any kits that include UCAs.
I would recommend Old Man Emu because it relies on the coil to lift as opposed to the Billies that rely on-pre loading the coil.
OME 885s gave me 3" with my 4Banger AC and if you have a V6 you would probably need a 1/8" to 1/4" spacer to get the full 3".
OME Dakars are a great leaf pack that will give you somewhere around 3". If you didn't want to keep the rake and go more level get a 3 leaf progressive AAL like Wheelers or Icon.

Ehh. Heres the pickle. I've been saving. so I have about 2g to play with but would like to spread it out if at all possible haha. Idk if I need a top shelf lift but I dont want some bottom feeder type rig. I Would also need to have it installed by shop so my warranty remains in tact

And what is the theory of operation behind these UCAs?

I'd go OME then. And UCAs help with allignment.

    Get OME coilovers and shocks
    885 springs
    Light Racing UCAs
    Dakar leaf pack

And call it a day. Youll be looking at about $1,300ish

Why are people telling him to get the 1/4" top plate when everywhere I have read people are saying the 885s give access cabs a full 3" without it!?

    I don't know where you're reading that.
Try Old Man Emu: Questions, Answers & Pictures ([IMG] 1 2 3 ... Last Page)
    I got a full 3" with 885s on mine, but it's a 4Banger & V6s weigh more.

Doesn't change CV angles enough to do anything.
It also pulls your pinion out of the oil because it rotates the diff.

Thanks for all the help. Those Icons look pretty intense..as well as their price tag haha. But I will def take a look at these OME. One thing though, I was told by a guy to never use spacers..Is that the same as a top plate? Please explain

Is this always the case? I have looked at many UCA manufacturers and very few (like light racing) say they build in an additional ±2° of caster and 0° to +5° of camber to correct of a lift. Other appear to be only more durable but do not correct for lift.

Please read OME or ToyTec's website. 885s alone will yield 2-1/2" of lift. For a full 3", the 1/4" top plate is needed.

It isn't like a lift spacer, which are 2"+, and it sits on top of the coils top plate.
