I am looking at a 2010 Tacoma right now however it is only the 2.4L and I have a 350 lb quad I would be hauling in the box once in a while. Would that be okay ?

I have an '86 Toyota truck with the old 22RE motor and it would handle that just fine. I've pulled dual axle trailers loaded with stuff (not recommended), rocks, sand, piles of wood, and I'm sure a lot of it was over 350 lb.

the newer I4 engines are even stronger, so I'd imagine you would be just fine, although you might experience some lag when climbing hills or trying accelerate up to highway speeds. Once you get going its not bad though, and for normal city driving you'll be just fine.
