airbag light on code b1905

Hello guys..

The airbag light from my truck is on. Its already been scanned and the code error im getting is b1905 that refers to passenger side. I've check everywhere but i havent been able to fix it and turn off the light. I changed already both sides buckles cause it was giving me two errors so i change them and the drivers side error was fixed.

When i bought the car 2 years ago the light was on. So i replace the clockspring and I fixed a several codes but im still dealing with this one.
Have anyone had the same problem that can guide me how to fix it?

Safety related should be covered no?

Seatbelts and airbags I thought were for the life of vehicle along with seat belt tensioners

U shouldn't have had to replace the clockspring either.....if u have reciepts, try to get toyota to reimburse atleast partial cost

If the truck has ever been started with the radio trim panel removed and the clock module unplugged, it will generate a code.
Also, check the plugs under the seats.. they shouldn't be loose, but it's possible that someone jacked something under the seat and damaged one of the connectors or the cable.
You don't have an airbag in the seats, but you do have weight and position sensors. Not sure about the '05, but later models disable the bag if the seat is too far forward.
Aftermarket stereo? The wiring to the passenger bag itself may be messed up.

Once the problem is fixed, the dealer has to reset it with Techstream, it's not like a CEL that will clear itself.

I had a 91 pathfinder and was a member on that forum... The seatbelts were wearing out and it was posted that Nissan had to replace the belts and tensioners for free for life.. Lots of guys had them replaced. Maybe it's by state??

Emissions is federally mandated to 70k, but everything else is standard 3/36-5/100-etc...

Well the problem is that i dont live in the States. Im in Costa Rica Central America, so i cant go to the dealer cause i think that applies only in the states.

But i think the previous owner had an accident with that car and he fix the car and replace the parts but he never deal with the airbag light. My car has audio controller in the steering wheel but when i bought the car it was not working so i checked why and it was because the clockspring wasnt made for that type of steering wheel so i change it for the correct one.

I have checked the lines under the passenger sit and all of then look good..

Any ideas in what to check?

Like I said... you are going to need the dealer, or some other tech with the Toyota Techstream software and access to TIS to reset the ABS codes.

You can replace every part on the truck with perfectly good parts and that light won't go away on it's own.

I have done that already.. my mechanic has a scanner thats why i bought the clockspring and the other parts. But when we erase the code it comes again.

B1905 refers to passenger's side airbag/buckle short/open in deployment loop. I would not recommend trying to diagnose this problem on your own, as improper testing can result in airbag deployment, which can result in personal injury. Only a trained professional should attempt to diagnose this code.

The SDM (Sensing/Diagnostic Module) has detected that their is either a short or open in the squib or outer seat belt assembly. This means that there could be a problem with either the wiring, outside belt assembly, or the inflator (squib) module.
