Is there any way possible that you can take a comparo shot of the stock vs aftermarket.

The reason I ask, is that I spent about $150 already on replacement LED's and the stock is WAY brighter than any LED bulb.

I just dont want to spend more $$ and be dissapointed. Will you help a brother out and maybe other members on the fence.

I'll give you Reputation points and encourage everyone else to do so for the effort.

So, I ask myself how can these be brighter if I already compared the two side by side.

I used Putco brand LED's which are reputable and bought their best, the 5137 with multiple LED's in each "bulb".

But from a driving with them both and looking in my side views...
    They red leds r brighter
but the reverse lights r WAAAY brighter...
    course thats me...
Its not gonna light the world up
but it makes a big difference

Anything is better than nothing. I'd really appreciate it and basically, your pics will be the only thing that decides my buying decision.

Is there any difference between the lights from ebay and the lights from the other place? I don't want to buy the cheaper ones and then find out they are of lesser quality.

TacomanChach, thanks so much for this write up. I think the mods should make this a sticky in the modification thread :D

Oh, and thanks for the write up about changing the third brake light too!!

as far as i know their isn't as long as their the same brand.
Ebay sellers must stick to what they say they are selling.
Otherwise you don't have to pay.
So just make sure they are the same brand and your all good!
Course their might be headache involved... you know it is EBAY
thats why i went with the wood dash people
but they are turning out to be a head ache...
not too bad though... they just send stuff through different warehouses.\

is this the same for ebay tail lights that require bulbs?
is it easy to take those bulbs out?

I was also looking into these, how's the quality? Any leaking? I've heard some lights from ebay stores were cheap and after a while began leaking. They look fantastic and appear well put together though.....thanks

Would I be able to disassemble the stock tail lights and paint the housing like you can the front ones and achieve the same thing? Want to do some work but don't know which road to take. Nice look by the way!
