Finally got a vacation next week and going to try to get some good ideas on what to pack in my truck for just incase. I use to live in sandiego and few years back had to evacuate my home cause of fires and was unprepared. Now I'm back in vegas which we don't have much but don't want to be off guard again. Let's see your list
    Mine at the moment
Practically every hand tool imaginable in the tool box
    Spare battery
    Spare alternator
    Spare hoses
    Dehydrated food
12 gauge rounds and shot gun
    .380 semi auto and rounds
    Flash lights and batteries
Cb radio that has access to emergency channels
    Tent
    Gas
    Lots of whiskey
    Water
    Blankets
    Hatchet
    Knives
    Zippo lighter
    Fire starter

I know this has been done to death and I'm sure the search will give me some info but I want to know what you keep in your daily bug out

This actually became kind of a hobby for me for a while. The pack has everything I need to survive for at least 72 hours and stuff that can extend that indefinitely if I play my cards right.

-Three days worth of food/water bladder(s)(it holds two)
-Jetboil and extra can of fuel
    -Tarp
-Emergency blanket/poncho which actually has a very important added benefit to be used under different circumstances
    -Sleeping bag
    -Tent
    -Rain jacket
    -Fleece sweatshirt
    -Gloves
-Basic med kit and blowout kit
    -Various tools and untensils
    -Hedlamp and flashlight
-100' of Paracord and cams for securing tarps, etc.
    -Glow sticks
    -GPS unit, compass, maps
    -Steripen and water tabs
    -Hatchet
    -Ammo
    -E-tool
    -Solar charger/batteries
    -And my handy dandy blaster

The pack is made by Eberlestock and has a built-in rifle scabbard. Normally, this would be used to transport your big bolt gun, but in a bug-out situation, that's a very large and heavy item, so on a really bad day the blaster goes in there instead. If I have to, I will spike the bolt gun and leave it.

Also in the pics is a plate carrier with Level III body armor. I've actually been shot before, so I know it hurts. Want to prevent that from happening again if at all possible

I have one rolling tote that contains all of my concentional camping gear like burners, propane, lantern, bigger sleeping bag, bigger tent, tools, tools, tools.

A second one contains all of the stuff you see in the above pics, plus a ultra lightweight sleeping pad.

There is a good amount of food also stored in the truck, along with another single burner, fuel and water purification stuff.

Probably left a lot of stuff out, but that's all I can think of at the moment.
