Oh and the last problem that was killing people was because people are idiots and cant figure out how to put the car in neutral when they push their floor mat under the pedal.

So you know there is a SIMPLE fix but wont do anything to fix it. So instead you feel the need to sue because the truck makes a whistle noise. And Americans wonder why other countries think we are stupid..

You talk on your phone while driving?

A whistle really! I wish you could have drove my last 3rd gen runner. The tires were so loud you could not hear your self think, I had no carpet in the rear so the road noise was loud. I had to put aftermarket speakers in it just to hear the radio :D Its a whistle deal with it.... Or sell it and go buy a prius.

Hey monster genius... a lot of attempts to fix it have been made by Toyota techs at the dealership. I never said that I didn't try to fix it, you arrived at that conclusion on your very own. All of the suggestions made on this forum have been tried, unsuccessfully, and anyone would be frustrated at least. And people around the world wonder why Americans are so stupid...well, here ya go!

So let me get this straight. Your so called "lemon" has the whistling issue, so you stroll on here to rack up some bullshit ammunition against Toyota and find out it is an issue with many 12-13 Tacomas? BUT you neglect to see that it is fixable by either inserting 1/4" drip line in your engine bay seals, or getting your windshield replaced if the drip line doesn't solve the issue? Then you decide that since the Tacoma has had some TSB's and a couple recalls, that all of Toyota must now be punished to solve...what?

I now would like to seriously ask are you serious?

^^^ Here is your fix. I refuse to believe they voided his warranty for fixing the weather strip by himself..

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson–Moss_Warranty_Act
Read that and tell me how they could have voided his entire warranty over some weather stripping.

This is just like whoever sued over hot coffee that makes places put "warning coffee is hot" on all cups..

I retract the statement I made on you not fixing it (I posted a medium length response above) but would suggest you really state why you are up in arms over a whistle in order to go after Toyota in your original post, otherwise everyone will call bullshit on your unjustified torch and pitchfork attitude.

Surprised you haven't gotten all pissed over frame rust or drive-line vibrations yet.

Love it. "Don't tell me anything I don't want to hear. Boo hoo!" Oh, to be in my 20s once again...loud music, monster loud tires, without a care, lots of macho bravado...you are a big, big help.

It is an issue. A persistent issue. Lots of challenges for buyers who loved their old Tacomas.

Thanks, man, I appreciate the retraction. Lots of jumping the gun and active denial going on here. You made me laugh with your torch and pitchfork comment, and in fact, that is pretty much how I feel after three weeks of dealing with Toyota HQ and the dealership. Tremendous amount of BS from both. Lots of games, like having the truck in to be fixed, but not issuing a ticket each time so they can avoid triggering the state lemon law. When you spend $30,000 out of your pocket for what should be a bomb-proof rolling office, which is what my prior Tacoma was, and you get crap and crapped on over and over, why then...the torch and pitchfork come out. Yeah, that's it. Torch and pitchfork. Well put! And if what I have been through happened to you, your devotion and admiration and loyalty to Toyota would also be a smoking heap of rubble, like mine. It's painful.

And re the other problems (rust, vibrations)...I haven't driven it enough to experience those yet. The truck has spent more time at the dealership than in my possession. Someone in this thread commented I should get a Prius. The dealership gave me a Prius as their loaner while they worked and worked and worked on the truck (note to Monster and Hoyal: I do appreciate you searching this issue, thank you, and I would not be posting here if those fixes had not been tried already; again, better to ask than to presume and be wrong..ahem). The Prius is the biggest lame-ass car I have ever driven. It had a sensor that slowed the car down if a car ahead cut in front....I returned it and am driving one of the older cars we have. Waiting for either a replacement truck or a refund...
