Has anyone painted the oem roof rack?

Hello all. am considering picking up the oem roof rack for my double-cab, but have never seen one personally. it appears to be a composite material that i would consider having painted to match my factory black finish, if this is possible. any and all input appreciated.

The outside exterior is made out of plastic and the crossbars are metal. If you plan on attaching anything to it I wouldn't paint it.

 

If you are going to paint anything, just do the plastics. Although it will be like all that plastic on the avalanche. People can paint it, but unless you do an amazing prep job its going to flake off eventually.
