Yea and I love the look of them rolled up but my whole point in getting a topper is so they can't fall/jump out so that wouldn't be an option while driving for me. I'm thinking I'll be alright with just putting in a mesh panel in the back.

@Spicktacular I was talking with a guy named Bob who told me that the canvas material they use came in later than expected and they were scrambling to finish some back orders.

Order or buy your 1" hook strip, 1" extra strength magnet strip, and clear protectant film too.

I just received my tracking number already!

What is all this for? You need all that to install it? Doesn't it come with everything you need?

It comes with Velcro for attaching to the tailgate. Worthless solution. Find doording's softopper post. He provides part numbers for the magnetic strip and hook Velcro. On his install he also needed to install a metal tailgate cap so the magnet had something to stick to. On mine the rear flap extends below the plastic tailgate cap so I was able to skip that step. The downside is grit gets caught between the magnet and paint. Use color matched striping tape, clear protectant film, or something else to protect the paint from abrasion.

Going to pick it up now. Do you think the magnet would work if I plasti-dipped a strip instead of tape?

I will be ordering my softopper next week. Hopefully I can get it without to much of a turnaround would like it for a camping trip later in august.
Problem with having a double cab... I am the one who taxi's everyone else and their gear up.

I would assume so. It all depends on the strength of the magnet, right? Craft magnets will barely stick with a layer of paint. A good rare earth magnet will stick with an inch of rubber. :)
