Putting new shocks on front of my truck. Can't get control arm to flex up to put spindal bolts back in. Jacking under the arm and the spring is not compressing. Any thought?

push down on the upper control arm/spindle until you get a couple threads screwed in.

it was tricky but I was able to do it myself. the lower balljoint makes lining those holes up kinda weird

Putting the jack under the arm to compress it is just lifting the truck off the stands. It is almost like the shock or spring is solid.

Ok I'm dumb. Had lower spring cup upside down. I feel extremely dumb but happy. Right side took 45min start to finish.

lol happens to the best of us. I was trying to figure out how it could be so stiff assuming your running factory springs. . . .

    thanks for clearing it up
