I am just curious as I drove truck all over the country and see all of the Tacoma trucks and have noticed that some of the marker lights are on the inside of the head light assembly and some, as well as mine, are located on the outside of the head light assembly.

Just randomly curious to everyones view point on this???

I have mine set up to run both the outside and inside at the same time. They turn on with my parking lights.

inside is daytime running lights and IIRC are always on (some ppl have had melting issues)

the outside corner lights come on with the first click of the stalk

this is IF ur truck came with the DTRL option ONLY

Outside lights come on with the tails as well.

Outside lights are on with the headlights too, but the inner DRL's are off.

I believe from factory, only the inner signals/DRL's are on with the headlight switch in the "off" position.

2005 TRD off-road, no DTRL option...

Marker/parking lights are on outside and are turned on with a twist if the stalk, once for tails/markers, twice for headlights...

Inside lights are turn signal only, dark unless activated to indicate your intentions...
