Truck looks great man, I myself have a twinkle in my eye for the newer Rams & for darn sure wouldn't mind having that bada$$ motor in it. I do love my Taco & being my first truck it's even that much more special. I agree on the suspension etc. so it's not like your just making excuses, lol. I have a buddy that got a Ram as well & I asked him what made him choose to get rid of his Taco, and all he said was "Hemi"!! Yes, Tacos have AMAZING resell value & are very dependable trucks but if you got what you want & are happy with it then just ignore the immature negative comments that get thrown your way. After all, this is a Taco site & ppl love their Yotas including myself! Congrats & enjoy that beast...:D

As a huge Taco fan i would agree.

The brakes on the truck are terrible, I often have to press the pedal harder than I think is necessary for a routine stop. And towing my 1500 lb trailer makes it exponentially worse.

As for hauling stuff, my 2011 TSB leafs + AAL are already shot, and I will be forced to upgrade to OME Dakar's.

Buy what you want, and say what you want, this is America, just remember you are posting to a Toyota forum.

People should buy what they want, if they want a jeep buy a jeep, if they want a ford buy a ford. I don't know why they all announce it on a Toyota forum.

Looks like you came out on top if you got more than you owed on it and got the ram under 7k asking price and you like it, I personally wouldn't go back to a single cab, but hope you like it!

You did a regular cab. No wonder it was 7k under sticker and they gave you more for the Tacoma. They will gladly sell that Tacoma at about 26k probably. Guaranteed it will sell faster off the Dodge lot than their Rams will. Just saying. Enjoy the truck they do have a couple things on the Tacoma but not enough for me to buy one.

Around 7.5 seconds. I'm still breaking it in, but that thing MOVES! I hit 45-50 in 1st gear when I stomped on it earlier today.

The reg cab has been around a while. This is a newer model that has the Hemi and some other options in it.

BTW...thanks. The color (Midnight Blue) was what really caught my eye. Don't see too many of those out there.

Life is to short to bitch about which truck is better and which will last longer etc.....

Enjoy the truck. I am happy that you like it and you just like the rest of us work hard in life to be able to afford these things.

I just a new Tacoma this year and I will say this it looks better than the Random Accident Machine you have plus if you didn't like the suspension its called the aftermarket! I almost got a jeep but the issues with the pentastar led me to my taco and I will never regret buying a Tacoma! Enjoy your pile of crap and please don't cry when your ram is in the shop every day

    As stock as they come.
Good Luck with your new truck ! The Hemi is sweet ! .. well ones without MDS.

I will be trading my 2012 Express Crew in. Ive owned 2003, 2005, 2006, 2009 and now the 2012 Rams. Only the 2003 and 09 didnt have Hemis. 4.7 and 6.0 Diesel respectively. The 2012 is the worst. The resale is terrible. There are issues with the drive train. Just keep an eye out for rumbles and odd knocks in the driveline. .. the Hemi is a different engine with the MDS. Payload is very much reduced due to the introduction of coil rather than leaf springs.
As far as gas mileage, on the Crew, I get around 10-13 in the city and MAYBE if I keep MDS engaged, 18-20 on the highway. Theres been nasty rumors floating around that gas is supposed to hit 5 bucks a gallon this year .. We'll see.

Why is everyone so harsh about this? He was saying his goodbye. Have fun with the Dodge! I had the 2007 Hemi Single Cab before I went back to a car. That thing HAULED! I'm assuming yours came with the 20'' rims as well? Anywho, Enjoy the truck.

Had a '96 Ram single cab. V6-5 speed. I liked it. They have some better colors now, like yours. Enjoy.
