I'm taking a stab in the dark but they look close to 33" on an 18" wheel. And yes, I agree his original problem stems from a crappy spacer lift. I think he'd be best served with the 885s and the option to add the 1/4" or 1/2" spacer to squeeze out that added bit of lift, safely, with a reputable product. And he can do it himself.

My butt dyno has never been tested and I never believe my eyes on the internet, the brain is too easily tricked. I agree, OME is good, safe, and reputable! It kinda scares me when people recommend mixing things like OME and 5100s though.

Yuppers. A lot of pain and care needs to go into research to mix and match products. And after my C/O experiences in my 95.5 I'll never pro-load a spring again. OME for life!

    3" OME lift 885s & Dakars riding on 33" KM2s
Go all OME. Shock & springs were designed & refined to work together on our Tacos. Great ride on & off road.
885s on OME Nitros will give you 2 1/2"
You can install 1/4" spacers to get full 3" lift without extended studs. If you add extra weight you can swap it with a 1/2" spacer.
My 885s came with the extended studs. No problems with install.
Gave my 4Banger 3" of lift. I added sliders & a full set of skids & lost 3/4".
Added 1/4" spacers to regain 1/2" of what I lost. It rides even better with the extra weight.

X2. I'm installing my spacers this weekend to regain the lift lost with all of the armor. Wish I had the extended studs installed first, woulda saved me a lot of time and effort.

I like where your head is at, but the spring rate is different (stiffer) to compensate for a heavier load. He may or may not like the ride.

That's what I have, but it would appear (and some research has yielded) that I got the last of the old 886s, and not the 886X... So I lost some lift with the plate bumper, skid, and sliders. I want my truck damned near level, like 1/2" rake.

Sorry guys im at work but I have 285's with 18 wheels, I would like to do this right im still learning about all the shocks and coil overs and just looking for the right thing that I can install myself. I would like to have enough clearance to be able to run the 285 smoother than before with the stock shocks. Im gonna try and stay away from mixing brands, I would be cool with a little stiffer ride too.

Than do as I said. 885s will be a little stiff, 886s will be stiffer but not unbearable.

And stay away from cheap shitty lifts!

 stick with 885 unless you are getting a bumper, winch, and skids.
