    I'm studying Spanish in Peru right now and of course I stopped by a stealership to check out the pricing on the Hilux. They said they don't really offer different trim packages like they do in the States which I thought was interesting, but a 4-door 4x4 was closer to 39,000 out the door! They aren't as ugly as you would think though. That photo on the first page looks awkward because it's obviously lifted with the stock tire size. When does that ever look good? Here's a photo of one I took a picture of the other day. I lost my phone last night otherwise I would blow this thread up with some cooler ones around here. I saw one with a mid-travel lift that looked so nasty. On a side note, I am definitely more drawn to the look of the land cruiser prado down here. Pretty tits if I do say so myselfIMAG0623.jpg

    Oh also my friends think I'm crazy for how much attention to detail I have for these bad boys.. If only they knew :rolleyes:

    The thing about Hilux's is that they can be fit with more utilitarian things than the Tacoma. They could honestly be considered more of a work truck than a new Chevy Silverado or F150.

    Just look at how you can get a rear tubular bumper, chasis cab, diesel, manual trans and transfer case, and many more things all from the factory. For a "car like truck", the Hilux might have more balls than a Tacoma.

    with that being said I do prefer the styling of the Tacoma much more. The older Hilux looks way better than the new ones though, they even compete with 1st gens looks:
