Batteries around here usually are lucky to last 5 years through the summer heat.

You have an 08 and the only issues you have had are marker lights and a dead battery? Wow, time to trade in and buy a Dodge!

sweet. good to hear. the factory batteries are serviceable too. check the levels occasionally and top them off with distilled water if needed. I usually just make sure that the plates are covered.

I just revived the trolling motor battery (nice, expensive, deep cycle) in the boat by filling it up. I never new before to check the levels. im anal about it now, that saved me a few hundred dollars.

according to my dad though, I got lucky cause most other batteries would have fried by my constant using and re-charging with low electrolyte.

moral of story, top your electrolyte off, theres a small chance it could save your battery

I have lived in FL for over 17 years...batteries only last about 3 years max due to the heat...I watch and listen to all my friends and/or co-workers who get stuck some where with at dead battery around the 4 year mark....max!

I replace all my batteries at 3 years...period. Small price to pay for a strong starting vehicle especially when you have kids!!

....and (luckily) when you need a vehicle to get you to work everyday on time!
