Hi everybody, I want to know everyone's thoughts and opinions. I want to build a cage for my truck bed but can't decide. should I take off my bed and build a tube build of the frame using more metal, or build an exo cage over my existing bed? I have been trying to decide for myself for over 4 months now.

plus an exo cage is coming up also, after the bed ifs complete.

A cage for your truck bed? What is the purpose of this cage?

When I hear the word 'cage' (on a vehicle), I think of .....rollcage to protect driver/passenger in a rollover.

A bed cage is generally used to mount shocks that come through the bed in Sua/LT situations. Also is used to tie a cab cage in so a truck is fully caged for safety

yes that is the purpose, that's why I stated, an exo cage is on its way. the tube bed will be part of the exo cage, just gonna be built separately but are gonna be welded together.

I see. I'm shooting for a sort of tube bed cage. I'm asking because of many exo's I've seen.
